Location: Cambridgeshire and site inspections at Offices and Residential Property portfolio across Cambs / Midlands area (Possible home working)
Salary: circa £25 – 26K + bens
We are working with a rapidly expanding client that provides residential property management throughout the Midlands and the East of England. Due to continuing growth and further expansion within the group, this property client is now looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to develop, implement and maintain policy, procedures, conduct site inspections and undertake annual audits at the residential estates and company wide offices.
You will report into the Cambridge head office and be responsible for producing health and safety and fire risk assessments, training and assessing employees and ensuring that external contractors implement safe working procedures. You will be undertaking H&S inspections and site visits to office and properties and will be required to travel to sites and property locations on your own, generating reports in addition to your requirements at head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Companywide Health and Safety policy, procedures and ongoing review
- Audit and Inspections at residential estates and company offices for compliance
- Maintaining records of site inspections and reports, action plans and continued improvement against risk assessments
- Health and Safety training programme for employees to ensure positive culture
- Management of Accident Policy to minimise risk and safe working practices
- Ensure all external contractors on residential estates provide copies of insurance cover, access statement and health and safety policies
- Advise managers, employees and clients on Health and Safety matters, obligations and responsibilities
- Keep up to date with legislation, particularly developments affecting Residential Estate Management
Essential Skills:
- NEBOSH, IOSH and/or other related Health & Safety qualification
- Previous H&S experience ideally within Residential Estates Management
- Full clean driving licence
- Work effectively within the team of estate managers and caretakers
This is a permanent position and the client is not prepared to consider candidates looking for either a day rate or on a part time basis. You must be willing to work full time on a salaried basis. The client is looking for Health and Safety experience gained within Residential or Commercial Property Estates or a similar field and is not looking for new build or construction experience.
